Congratulations to the Lebanon Trail, Centennial and Independence tennis teams on their victories in the first round of the UIL playoffs.

The bidistrict round showed the strength of the Frisco ISD programs, with Lebanon Trail beating Wylie East 19-0, Centennial beating Princeton 10-0 and Independence taking out McKinney North 10-1. FISD's other playoff qualifier, Liberty, lost a tight bi-district match against Lovejoy 10-9.

All four of FISD's playoff teams were in the 5A state team tennis rankings entering the postseason. Lebanon Trail was 2nd, Centennial 6th, Independence 13th and Liberty 15th. Wakeland, which did not make the playoffs, was also state ranked at No. 17.
